Primary Provision

Creative, active, and inclusive sessions for nurseries and primary schools across Cheshire

At Purple Gecko, we bring high-quality dance, fitness and wellbeing programmes into nurseries and primary schools, helping children stay active, express themselves, and learn in exciting new ways. Our school-based sessions are designed to support both physical and mental wellbeing, while helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills through movement and play.

After School & Breakfast Clubs

Our wraparound provision is a brilliant way to keep children energised, engaged, and active outside the traditional school day. We offer a variety of sessions including Karate, Thai Boxing, Basketball, Multi Sports, Street Dance, Cheerleading, and Musical Theatre – with even more styles available to suit your school’s needs. These sessions are structured to develop physical fitness, teamwork, focus, and communication, all while being fun and inclusive for children of all abilities.

Dance Education

We use movement to bring classroom topics to life. Taking inspiration from curriculum themes, our dance education sessions provide kinaesthetic learning experiences that help embed key concepts in a memorable and creative way. Each programme can be tailored to suit your school’s term topics, year groups or values, and is delivered by experienced dance educators who make learning both active and inspiring.

Dancing Through Time

Dancing Through Time is our immersive dance and history programme, created in partnership with Warrington Museum and Culture Warrington. It gives pupils a chance to explore historical periods through movement and performance, helping to build cultural understanding and storytelling skills. Sessions can be delivered as one-off workshops, term blocks, or museum-based experience days, bringing the past to life in an interactive and imaginative format.

Breathe

Originally developed during the pandemic, Breathe is our yoga and mindfulness programme designed to support children’s mental wellbeing. Through simple yoga poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, pupils learn how to regulate emotions, improve focus and build lasting habits that contribute to a calm and positive mindset. It’s a valuable addition to any school’s approach to pastoral care and emotional development.

Mini Movers

Mini Movers is our early years dance programme, specially designed for children aged 2 to 4. Each session links directly to EYFS learning themes, using music, movement and storytelling to support early development. From gross motor skills and listening to creativity and social interaction, Mini Movers is the perfect way to introduce young children to learning through movement in a playful and engaging way.

Karate in Schools

Karate is one of the most rewarding ways for children to stay active while developing strong values such as discipline, respect, and perseverance. Our sessions are fun, structured and goal-focused, helping children grow their confidence and physical ability through consistent training. We teach positive reinforcement and celebrate progress through our belt grading system, giving pupils something meaningful to work towards. Karate is suitable for after school or lunchtime clubs, and can also be delivered during PPA cover or as part of your PE offer. It’s a fantastic way to support social development, mental focus and physical health – all in one dynamic session
